Weaving Story and Song is a collaborative workshop inviting children of all ages into an experience of listening to re-member. We all know how easy it is to get a song stuck in our heads, yet sometimes the best parts of a story escape us right when we need them. As we wind our way out of time in the way the best stories do, we collect resonating threads of a story and weave them into a song. As we uncover the rhythm and melody of the song, we awaken our voices, instruments, bodies, and whatever else may be available in our creative sphere to create a soundscape to accompany our story song. A final recording will be made and emails will be collected to send the lyrics and tune to keep the story song alive!
